Thanks for the comment.  I think you are right, canned whole tomatoes are much better than crushed.  It's hard to find the right texture in crushed - I definitely found that to be the case in my testing.

		<description>Hmmmm...I never have much luck with crushed tomatoes.  I usually go for the whole tomatoes and do the crushing myself, most often by hand or with a potato masher.

For most of my meals, I go with the Muir Glen organic, which are pretty good and not as expensive as the imported San Marzanos which are fantastic but pricey.</description>
