Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies - Recipe Review

Filed under: Recipe Reviews — Nicky @ 1:01 pm

I don’t know about you, but I loved no bake cookies as a kid.  My friends and I use to make batches of them every week.   These cookies are so simple to make and I am happy to say they are still delicious to eat.  I haven’t met too many people who didn’t enjoy walking down memory lane and eating these as adults.  I still make these for my husband quite often.  They are a great quick and easy treat and you often have the ingredients to make these on hand in your pantry.  Here’s a recipe for no bake cookies from Food TV.  Happy memories!

Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies

2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
1 cup peanut butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 cups oatmeal
Waxed paper

In a heavy saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, until cooled and hardened.

Keep in mind this makes a huge batch of cookies.  You can half the recipe easily, if you don’t want mountains of these tasty little treats sitting around tempting you.

No, really, I made these cookies on Nov. 29 and was going to write about them. For your viewing pleasure:
