Yesterday, I did a little piece on Chow, the magazine.  I also mentioned their web site www.chow.com.  I really love these guys and gals and this picture right here is one of the reasons why.  I have tried lots of the Chow recipes and they have always come together without fail.  These ginger chewies have got to be one of the best cookies I have ever eaten.  If you love ginger snap cookies, you simply must try these.  It’s what a ginger snap should be.  The centers are chewy and delicious with just the right amounts of cloves, ginger, and cinnamon.  The molasses are an excellent back note.  The crusty sugar outside is the proverbial icing on the cake.  One word of caution though, when they say super-sized, they mean super-sized.  These cookies are huge.
