Fold - Daily Definition

Today’s daily definition is fold, this term is used often in baking.  So do you wonder what the difference between a fold and a stir is?  This definition comes from foodgeeks.com.

Fold - To gradually combine a light mixture with a heavier mixture by dividing the first mixture in half and overlapping the second mixture - repeating until incorporated.”

I like to think of folding as a very gentle stir from the bottom of the bowl to the top.
